ABOUT RAILĀ
Birds, especially Pigeons, are a major problem in railway stations and underneath rail bridges across the UK. The mess birds create causes a range of problems and hazards for workers and the public.
Common problems include:
- Pigeons and other birds perch underneath rail bridges and foul on the area below
- Pigeons and other birds sit and nest under platform canopies and foul onto railway platforms, causing a health and safety hazard for the public
- Sharps and biohazard material are dumped under and around rail bridges
Popular solutions include:
- Bird exclusion netting can be installed above or beneath canopies to seal off structures, forcing the birds to nest elsewhere
- Specialist cleaning services are provided to remove hazardous waste and bird fouling
We are proud to have our own specialised rail division that is RISQS certified sponsoring our own Personal Track Safety (PTS) card-holding site teams. This enables us to not only install superior bird control solutions, but also book and manage possessions or isolations, providing safety-critical staff and manage entire projects.
